The 4th Conference of the European Association on Quality Control of Bridges and Structures – EUROSTRUCT2027 – will take place on 16–17 September 2027 in Prague, Czech Republic, hosted by the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU) at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Thákurova 7, Prague. The conference will focus on research and development of sustainable, environmentally friendly and economically efficient solutions for the assessment, maintenance, rehabilitation and lifetime management of existing and new structures.

The objectives of EUROSTRUCT 2027 are to address all aspects of structural quality control, inspection, monitoring, diagnostics, maintenance and service life extension. Particular emphasis will be placed on bridges and other civil engineering structures, including tunnels, pipelines, wind turbines, industrial facilities and other infrastructure. The conference will cover structures made of various materials, including steel, concrete, timber, glass and composites, integrating recent advances in structural assessment, testing, monitoring and innovative strengthening technologies. Special attention will be given to identifying reserve load-carrying capacity, verifying structural performance and developing sustainable strategies for infrastructure management.

Specifically, the conference will address:

  • Inspection, diagnostics, structural health monitoring and advanced data acquisition technologies, including wireless sensors and IoT
  • Assessment of structural performance, identification of reserve load-carrying capacity and verification of actual structural resistance through testing and proof loading
  • Innovative repair, rehabilitation and strengthening techniques for existing structures
  • Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and predictive models for structural condition assessment and future performance prediction
  • Sustainable and economically efficient strategies for maintenance, asset management and service life extension
  • Integration of sustainability, environmental impacts and climate resilience into the design, construction, operation and management of infrastructure

EUROSTRUCT 2027 aims to provide a forum for practicing engineers, infrastructure owners, managers, operators and academics/researchers to exchange knowledge and experience, develop best practice guidance and identify future directions in structural assessment, quality control and sustainable infrastructure management.
